Families often report feeling alone, hurt, angry, scared and different from other families.  In reality you are not alone.  We deal with families that are suffering and facing similar situations every day.  Addiction is limitless and tears apart families from all areas of the globe and all walks of life.  It is important to understand that addiction is not something that you did to the addict.  Addiction is a disease, a family disease.  Family intervention is a family solution.

Families are often compared to a mobile.  One piece of the mobile moves each piece attempts to adjust to the changes.  Addiction impairs the family mobile from properly adjusting.  As the addicts tolerance for drugs or addictive behaviors increases, so does the families tolerance for unacceptable behavior.  Family Intervention not only presents the opportunity for the addict to change, but the entire family unit.

Family Intervention is the ultimate act of love a family can display.  Too often families have rationalized their loved ones using.  Statements such as “he’s not that bad,” “he will outgrow it,” “he still has his job” etc…  It is human nature to avoid pain.  However when addiction is involved the more we rationalize or minimize the pain the worse it becomes.  It is time to stop the enabling and start the healing.  Family Intervention works.
